When I first clicked on the web page about mission critical I was lost and confused on what I was supposed to be reading and learning about it. But part of learning how to critically think is learning on my own. Which made me go through all of the links that were listed on the web page and read them all. When I was reading through them it looked like it was a lot of information that I already learned about prior in the class. So it made this experience more like a review session then anything else. I found it useful to go over all of the material that we already covered in class and relearn everything all over again. One of the topics that I think was useful to read over again was the material that we learned in week 1 and 2 of comm. 41. The terms that we learned in week 1 and 2 were Statements and Conversions and Statements of Ambiguity. I forgot some of the definitions and rules that go along with these parts of arguments. This was extremely useful when it comes to reviewing for the final.

I completly agree with your post about the website. I also had trouble trying to find out what I was suspposed to be reading. After a while I finally figured out that the website was basically a study guide for the final. Overall, I think that the website is effective because all the information is right in front of us, rather than trying to look through the book to find what we want. I also agree with your strategy saying that you found it useful to go over all of the material that we already covered in class and relearn everything all over again. Overall good post and I agree with everything you said.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me very interested in the website! Since I haven’t started on the second blog I have not had the chance to go on the mission critical website. However, after reading your post it made me want to check it out. You said that this was a site to help you learn further on your own. Also, you explained that his site had terms that we learned before. So I went on the site and after looking at it for a while, it did have so much information as you explained. Thank you for the post to give me the great heads up of this useful site!
ReplyDeleteHi there. I like your post and I agree with everything you have said. Even I was confused when I first saw the website. There was so much information and I was unsure what to do. Like you, I also went to some topics and was then able to figure out that this website is just like a course review for us. I had forgotten about a lot of topics too but this website reminded me of all of them. This website is also very user-friendly. In addition, the exercises on some of the topics make the concepts seem easier. I also agree that this will prove as a very good source of course review for our final.
